What prenatal you all taking

Question

Hi, am taking this prenatal and the pill is too big to swallow. I suspect it giving me constipation. My husband bought it so am not sure what options where there. Pls suggest what is good with les side effects.

I take the vitafusion prenatal gummies because I hate pills lol it doesn’t contain iron though so you’d have to take that separately but Amazon has some really good tasting iron chews too!

Hi there. If you can I recommend d getting something like New Chapter. It's a bit more expensive..bought online or from a health food store, but it has the highest grade of iron..which digests the best, greens added and a probiotic added. I didn't learn about it until Baby #3 . I wish I had..I always felt great and not constipated. A bit cheaper n still with probiotics is one by Rainbow. There are two n one doesn't have the probiotoc. I think it s about 15 bucks vs. The New Chapter s 25 for a small bottle. If you biy a bigger bottle you get a much better deal.  I met a woman who was in labor at my chiropractors while I was like 6 wks along w my 4th. She educated me on the fact that there was a study done n many vitamins sold at Target, Wal Mart a d grocery stores didn't even have what they were supposed to have in them n they often had fillers n artificial colors. I take that one! It’s a honker of a pill that’s for sure, but for what it has and the price, I stick with it. I’ve actually taken it for years now. The iron in it and pregnancy are contributing to your constipation.

I take the Garden of Life prenatal gummies. Cuz majority of prenatal vitamins are definitely huge lol. The gummies taste good and don’t make me feel nauseous at all! It’s a bit pricey but the ingredients are all whole fruits and veggies, no extra chemicals or dyes. Great percentages of the necessary vitamins needed.

You are taking the same one that I take. I have taken it in multiple pregnancies without and with constipation so not sure that is the cause. That said, this prenatal does have iron which can increase constipation. While iron is important, there are definitely other prenatal options that don’t include it.

Well first of all that’s a postnatal vitamin so it should be taken after birth. Unless you accidentally put prenatal in the title and meant postnatal! I use Olly, there’s no iron in it, but my levels are fine and because of my ibs-c my ob is ok with me avoiding iron unless needed.
