Bf broke up with me on my birthday

Yesterday was my birthday and I didn’t hear from him all day. He then called me at like 10 p.m and tried to act like nothing happened. He was like “are you annoyed?” and I was like “kind of…” and then he told me he hasn’t been doing well mentally and he needs to be alone. I understand, but on my birthday? Tbh who knows if he even knew it was my birthday. I’m pretty sure he did but he never mentioned it and he was really the only one I wanted to hear a happy birthday from but instead I got broken up with 😞
