Does anyone know what this is on my fur baby?

My 10 year old lab/golden retriever mix has this on her back leg. I noticed it 2 months ago as a small bump and thought it was just a skin tag / wart. But it’s been growing and is now maybe the size of a nickel. I called our local vet but our appointment is still a ways out. It’s has me nervous and not sure if I should try another vet and get in sooner.
Has anyone ever seen this on their fur babies and know what it is?

I know some dogs are prone to benign growths but some can be malignant too. Only the vet would know.

Seems like a growth, do they know it’s been expanding in size as that is a cause for concern could they possibly get a biopsy before appointment I would call and find out as if it was something dangerous like cancer catching it in a less fatal stage is important. 💕

As long as the dog isn’t painful, I would just wait u til the appointment. Really nothing to do unless you’re going to have it removed.

This is a common thing on labs from what I experienced. Also they never seemed to be in pain. I'm not around your dog, so I'd say do what you think is best. I'm only commenting so you know it's happened to other dogs....
