Bath?

This may sound silly but when can we (moms) take a bath again? I desperately want to soak but I don't remember when I was given the go ahead last time

I was told just no big party’s of water like pools/ hot tubs but I know we can take baths. As long as you’re comfortable take one!

I was encouraged to take baths asap and that they’d help with healing so I took one almost daily the first few weeks. I had vaginal delivery with some stitches though if that helps.

It all depends on your specific birth. If you had stitches, csection incision. Etc. I would call your doc to confirm specifically for you. I couldn't for 6 weeks to allow my csection incision to fully heal.

I had the green light for as soon as I was comfortable. Baths were actually encouraged. I took a shower first because I didnt think I could get in and out of a bath tho. I had a vaginal delivery with some small stitches and not c section if that matters.

Ugggh I cannot wait to have a bath too!! And also have the time to do it lol. Scalding hot showers for now.. 😅

I SWEAR that with my first they told me to takes baths to help with healing. But then I’ve been told absolutely not and then been told no water would ever make it up that far so as long as your don’t have and stitches your fine. To be safe I just wait 6 weeks.

I started bathing at 1 one month (give or take a few days). But as long as it is a clean bathtub then you should be okay.  No “shared” water until after 6 weeks.  But I would double check with a doc.
