When did you get a sweep?

Just wondered when you get offered a sweep? Is it only after 40 weeks or could I be offered sooner??

I got one at 38 weeks +1 day but she said she was okay doing it because I was already dilated to almost 4.

I got one on my due date with my first and went into labor the next day!

It depends on your care provider. Some will do them quite early, some won’t. My midwife practice doesn’t offer them until after 40w.
Best thing to do is ask, and also ask for your Bishop Score before you get one. If your score is low there’s no real point to getting one.
