Gallstones, but no gallbladder

I’m 19 weeks pregnant and having gallbladder attacks. Came into the ER and they did a bunch of testing and an MRI and found multiple gallstones. I had my gallbladder removed right after I had my first child, and had no clue I could get stones even without the organ.

My question is, has anyone had this happen? Also, what can I do to prevent this from happening again?

I’ve been admitted over night tonight and am awaiting an endo to remove the stones. The pain has been constant, unlike last time when they’d go away after a half hour or so. I’m on constant IV meds and it only takes the edge off. It’s miserable, the worst pain I’ve ever felt.
