Should I bring it up or leave it be?

My fiancé and I have been cleaning out the house recently. We’ve been together 3.5 years and have a daughter.

I’ve lived in the house my whole life and we’ve been throwing out a lot of things of mine. Most of my things are in my daughters room because it used to be my room.

My ex gave me a lot of books that I kept because they’re just books. He used to write a little note on the front page or on a note that he’d put between the pages. He also bought me dresses that I still own because I like them a lot and they were fairly expensive.

Well one of those notes must have fallen out in our daughters room and onto the change mat. Nothing bad. It was just a gift note with some compliments.

But I’m not sure if I should bring it up or not. I haven’t kept this stuff because I’m still hung up on him. I kept these gifts because they’re mine and things I like. There’s no personal connection anymore.

Is it weird for me to have kept these things at all?
