do you work from home with a baby?

my job has said I can work from home a few days out of the week as long as I can keep up with my work while having my 7mon old with me. How do you handle keeping baby quiet during work meetings?

I WFM, but haven’t had my baby yet. I plan to try to keep him home until he becomes super mobile. We’re typically muted/off camera on meetings, but in the chance I have to be live with a project manager or client I’m considering hiring an in home sitter for the few hours I’d be in meetings

I have a 4 y/o and 1.5 y/o. I’ve worked from home full time since my first child was born. I’ve been able to make it work. It is very stressful at times. My boss allows me to work flexible hours. Basically, I have all day to work and it doesn’t matter when I work. I’ve got my basement set up as a daycare room with my desk in the center. My kids are fairly independent, so they play without me stretches of time. I have to take a lot of breaks to play with them still. I keep them up late at night (9pm) then I start work super early (5am). It works great because I have about 4-5 solid hours to work while they are still sleeping. Not ideal, but can be done! I couldnt do it when i had my daughter. So i quit my job and stayed home with her 🤷🏼‍♀️

It worked for me the first three months but he’s almost a year old and nope! Not anymore he needs a lot more of me I actually had to quit my job

Yes but only a few hours of the day. A full day would be hard but you could make it work if you had to. If you could have someone watch your baby for a few hours of your day it would help a ton tho.
I have done it since she was 6 weeks, although it is only a half day when I get her, my husband has her in the morning before he goes to work. 
When she was little, I used to nurse her while working. Have her in her bouncer with toys. Activity mat in the room with me. Play music.
We use screen time while I work mostly which definitely helps. We have a deck area she had access to so she can go outside and play with bubbles now, etc. just have lots of options to keep her busy, and I do take prob more breaks than I should so I can play with her a bit, but you gotta have a good balance. Luckily now she takes her nap while I have her, so it’s only like 2 hours I have to do this while she’s up
She is now 2 and does amazing while I work. She knows when I’m working and knows when I’m done I’m ready to play and give her all my attention.  
I will take my lunch when she wakes up from her nap and play a bit, diaper change, then lunch. Then she plays the last couple hours until I’m done.

I was able to manage part-time working from home while caring for my daughter until she was 6 months old. Meetings were super hard, especially if the meeting didnt line up nicely with her nap schedule. I gave in when she was 6 months and starting sending her to daycare. 
I would not recommend trying to do this.

I could do it until my oldest could talk and asked for me to play with him. He just needed more attention than I could provide while working. Most of my work was on the phone talking to patients so it was really impossible.

My daughter will be 1 in 2 weeks and Ive worked with her from home since day one. Its hard but I make it work. Shes also a very good baby which makes it easier
