Not a toxic relationship

I was texting with my boyfriend and brought up something we had talked about last week possibly doing tonight. No official plans were made, I had mentioned it to see if it was happening (definitely no big deal if it didn’t happen). He was super apologetic because he had forgotten and made other plans, I made it clear it was no problem.

He responded “so this is what it’s like to not be in a toxic relationship”. Suddenly I want to go give him a huge hug, I hadn’t realized before how bad some of his relationships must have been. But I’m so glad that I can give him a good relationship experience.
