How do you tell a guy to buy you flowers?

I’m currently in a long distance budding-relationship with a guy that I’ve been talking to for a couple months. We get to see each other every now and then, but not very frequently, and I would love to receive gifts from him to fulfill my love language. 
I know that the common response to this will probably be “you shouldn’t have to tell a guy to do anything for you” but I feel like a nudge may help! However, I have already told him what my favorite flowers were, so I’m just not sure how to go about it. How do you tell a guy to buy you gifts without sounding like a gold digger? What do y’all think?

When my boyfriend doesn’t get the hint, I usually send him tik toks. This actually happened to me last month. I told my boyfriend “It is so cute when my grandpa surprises my grandma with flowers randomly” and I told him I love that kind of stuff. The next day, he went out and bought flowers for me. Yes it “kinda” feels like I told him too, but I think the important part is that he listened to me and fulfilled my wants and needs.
Point is, if he doesn’t get any more hints, then just straight up tell him when it comes up in convo again “I love when I receive flowers, it makes my day.” You’re not really telling him to get you flowers, you’re telling him what you like! If he listens and cares about the things you love, he will do them for you.

...... you already have been told this but you shouldn’t have to ask nor tell him to buy you flowers. What’s the point? That takes all the fun and giddiness out of receiving. Then you only received them because you told/asked him 👎🏼 unfortunately if he wanted to... he would’ve...
