Today I met up with my family at a pumpkin patch my brother went up and kissed my daughters and when I got a look at him I saw he had a cold sore, I asked him if he did he said I don't know maybe and he knowing this kissed my kids I got so upset with him how could he be so selfish, my cousin and mom thought I was exaggerating by leaving right there and then, what would you do?

Definitely wouldn’t have punished my kids and stormed out 🤷‍♀️ but maybe let him know it wasn’t cool, assuming he did it on purpose. But maybe he wasn’t thinking, maybe this is routine that he kisses them and it was just habit in the moment?

Why? Did he kiss them directly on the mouth? That’s how they spread. Next time just politely ask him to air kiss near the cheek instead.

And something else to add: my dad has had cold sores my entire life and I still don’t get them. There’s literally no excuse for what your brother did.
