Planned c-section at 37 weeks

I'm 35 weeks today and it looks like I'll be having a planned c-section in 2 weeks.

This is my second baby, my first is 4 years old now and with him I had a induction but vaginal birth.

This time around I was praying for a natural birth so I'm pretty bummed about the huge change of plans.

My placenta is low lying and still not far enough from my placenta to deem it safe for a vaginal delivery. Of course I'm okay with however baby needs to get here, as long as he's safe and healthy.

I'm looking for some encouragement, tips, advice for any mama's who had a planned c-section? What should I expect? How is recovery? How long were you in the hospital?

I'm really nervous about this whole thing but also very excited to meet baby in 2 weeks.
