My MIL moved in with me and my SO a few months ago…I know she hasn’t worked on year but she has plenty of money saved up to where she’s not worried about getting a job rn as she is fully capable. My SO and I make okay money to get by but since I am currently pregnant things have been a lil tight. And it’s been even harder with my bf having to spend his money on things his mom should be doing…she has been using our car daily and my bf had to put gas in it a couple time. She doesn’t really buy groceries so we’ve been doing most of the shopping. My bf was willing to sell her once of our older cars bc hers broke down and she was willing to pay to get it fixed and she agreed but later on made a comment where she’s hoping my SO just gifts her the car. My SO knows she has money but he keeps telling me he feels bad for her. I know that’s his mom but with a baby coming and knowing she has money and doesn’t want to get a job I feel like she’s just taking advantage and knows how to make my SO feel bad for her…what should I do? How can I get my SO to understand he need to let her pay for things bc we’re gunna have our own family soon?
