Has anyone received a breast ultrasound?

Tomosynthesis or “3D” mammography is a new type of digital x-ray mammogram which creates 2D and 3D-like pictures of the breasts.

I don't understand my doctor told me that I should get an ultrasound of my breast and my armpit because I am experiencing pain in the areas now the appointments says Tomosynthesis mammogram diagnostic x-ray when my doctor said ultrasound so I'm frustrated my appointment is soon I don't think a mammogram can scan the armpit to check for lumps

I don't know how much radiation does Tomosynthesis mammogram have and if you are pregnant? Can you do x-rays that's why we originally planned ultrasound on the breast
