Hi!! I had to go into labor and delivery today because I was having contractions since last night…nothing painful, but I’m only 33 weeks and they wanted to monitor me more closely. They also did a cervical check and discovered I am 1 1/2-2 cm dilated…they monitored me for over an hour and saw some contractions but nothing crazy! They checked me again before they sent me home and I hadn’t dilated anymore, thank goodness.

I’m just confused because the nurse said the top of my cervix is closed but it’s the bottom part that is 1 1/2-2 cm dilated and “coning”. Has any other momma had this??? She said nothing to worry about unless contractions pick up or there is any blood/fluid that I notice.
