Ingrown toenail help

I am really struggling with ingrown toenails. Before this year, I never had one and about three weeks ago I had to have toenail surgery to remove the ingrown part. It seems to be healing okay but now I have another ingrown nail on my other toe. It is really painful but I don’t want to have to go back to the doctors again. Does anyone have any tips on how I can get rid of it at home.?
