Hey ladies, 
Just curious how long after baby number one you waited before trying for number 2? I’m due in early February and trying to figure out if I’m gonna go back on birth control after little man arrives.

They say it takes 18 months - 2 years for your body to recover (from pregnancy, birth, and lack of sleep, etc from newborn life). 
I didn’t listen because I wanted kids close together and we did nothing to prevent after we had our first. I got pregnant when my first was 9 months old and had my daughter when he was 18 months old. It’s been challenging for sure but I love their relationship! Again, we did nothing to prevent just from lack of thinking about it and I got pregnant when my second was 7 months old. I’m definitely feeling depleted so I’m planning to prevent for at least 18 months before getting pregnant with our fourth.

We waited almost 2 years but just used condoms in the meantime. I refuse to go back on hormonal birth control until I 100% know I'm done having kids because I'm certain that's why it took us so long to conceive our first.

I’m currently pregnant with baby #2. I waited until my son turned 2 before ttc, he will be 3 a month after the baby is due.
It’s a decision that you need to make off your family and what works best for you. For us, we don’t have any help near by so we wanted to make sure we would have time to potty train our son and close to him starting preschool so that there was some balance in the day. Also, without local help, I’m the person who spends the day with my son and I didn’t want him not having that special one on one attention when he started to take things in. 
I often think if he had grandparents/aunts and uncles closer maybe we would have done it sooner. It was just worked best for our family.

I waited 9 months, took 5 months of TTC to conceive (and not MC) #2. They will be 2 years apart, almost to the day
