Can DHR fire someone?

Hey y’all I believe I posted about how I was going to report the daycare that I previously worked at. I reported them early last week and DHR came at the end of the week. Apparently they said things were fine at the time and that they didn’t need to go to all of the rooms. I was disappointed but didn’t call again or anything. Well they came back yesterday and questioned some of the workers. Part of my report involved a specific employee that leaves babies in the bouncers and exersaucers all day. From what I was told they asked many questions, some of which were geared towards this employee.
