Would you recommend a C-section or Vaginal birth, for those of you who have had both?

I’d never recommend a c section unless it’s absolutely necessary. I’ve had both!

I’ve had both. With my vaginal birth I got an infection that turned to sepsis and spent 6 days in the hospital and felt like total shit for weeks after because of all the meds I had been on. Plus I had bad bone pain that hurt to sit for long period of time. I’m assuming it wouldn’t have been so bad if I didn’t get sepsis after. My second was an emergency c section and honestly, my recovery was easier than my vaginal birth. The pain is not nearly as bad as some people say it is but obviously people handle pain differently. I definitely took my pain pills for a while after but I was up and moving around the same day I gave birth, way faster then they expected me to be. I also felt back to normal right away aside from my incision and having to take it easy. The worst part was not being able to sit up very easily at night, so night waking safe hard. And then not being able to lift my toddler was sad. I by now means would recommend a c section over a vaginal birth, but I’m just here to say c sections are not that bad if you really need one. Some people are so scared of them. I’ll be having a repeat c section at the end of January and it’s kinda nice knowing I can schedule my birth lol

I have never hard a vaginal birth so my opinion may be obsolete. 
But from someone who has had two c-sections, the recovery was the worse experience of my life. The pain is unbearable. The recovery for me was intense. I hated everything about my c-sections.

Just had my first (and only) c-section last week. My daughter was a vaginal birth. No way in hell would I recommend a c-section unless you absolutely need it. C-sections are major abdominal surgery. And while mine went well the recovery is still really hard and the pain downright sucks

100% vaginal!  I would never recommend c section unless necessary.  The recovery is SO much harder!
