Who’s with you when you deliver?

Question

I am a new Mom and I won’t be due until May. The only person I have is my husband since my parents and in laws live in another state. My Mom will help out later, but she can’t be there when I am due. Is having just my husband there enough? Do I need more people’s help?

Technically you can be all by yourself, the nurses take care of everything. But yes, your husband is more than enough

I had way too many people in there when I had my son and I won’t make that mistake again. I’d have your child’s father and MAYBE one more person, any more than that makes it more stressful. Another person isn’t necessary, they have enough nurses to help if you need it. 
I had my sons dad, my grandmother, sons dads mom, and a close friend for support. Sons dads mom posted pictures as soon as my son was out, not even breathing yet, my vagina was literally RIGHT out of shot. I was LIVID and I’m probably never gonna forgive her for it. I didn’t even get to announce my own baby’s birth and that’s something I’m never gonna forget. Next time I’m only gonna have my s/o and my support person.

Personally, I think it's a lot more stressful than it should be when there's a lot of people. With my first baby I had a lot of people in and out of the room to hold my daughter. I had both my parents, my husband, my dad's girlfriend, my best friend, and her mom. It was insane and I was honestly upset the whole time because I couldn't really hold my own baby. With my youngest daughter, I just had my mom and my husband, but they weren't there at the same times. Like my husband was in jail when I gave birth so my mom was there to support me, but he got out the next day so my mom left when he showed up

With my first baby I was alone during delivery. 
With my 2nd baby my dad was there with me.
With my 3rd baby my mom was there with me.
& with my 4th baby I was alone during delivery.
&& I’m expecting my 5th baby in July 2023 and I’m hopeful that my husband can be here this time. 😊😊
