opposite sex drives

my bfs sex drive is nowhere near mine. I could go at least every other day. When he rubs or kisses on me intimately I want to have sex. He says it’s just affection and intimacy I shouldn’t be thinking about having sex all the time. I was celibate for 6 months before we started dating and I think that might be a part of why I want to have sex a lot. But now I feel weird about initiating because he feels like it’s all I think about and he’s hardly ever in the mood.. when he wants to randomly have sex I’m down but it’s hardly on my time
