Can the nipt results be wrong?

Our results came back with girl and I’m literally in shock and don’t believe it. Is it possible for it to be wrong for girl??

Anything with over 99% accuracy is pretty fool proof. My doctor said it’s even more reliable than an ultrasound

NIPT is more accurate than ultrasound.

Just to help you believe it more, my NIPT test was done at 10 weeks, and there wasn’t enough fetal blood to determine gender and that’s what the result said. It didn’t just default to saying “female” because it only detected my blood. I had to redo it and we have a boy 💗
