Blood in stool

Ever since I had my son 4 years ago, I’ve had an issue with hemorrhoids. I do get quite constipated here and there and I do admit, I’m so bad with keeping up with my fiber and water intake.

But today there was bright red blood mixed in my stool today.

It was scary to see because usually with hemorrhoids I don’t bleed but I did today. It didn’t hurt but I did feel a small strain.

Anyways, I googled it and of course it scared me even more.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

I definitely plan on seeing a GI doctor just to be sure.
