I have on and off irritation in my genital area (mostly it feels dry/raw and sometimes sore). I went to a local health clinic and was retested for chlamydia and gonorrhea (vaginal swab). I was previously tested a month ago (urine test) and results are negative. Unfortunately they don’t do pelvic exams and based on my symptoms (only the irritation and frequent urination), they did not test for syphilis or HIV. They don’t test for herpes as well, and when I asked I was told herpes is quite hard to diagnose as usually sores have to be present for healthcare providers to request for tests. I have not seen any lesion or sore, or anything abnormal in my genital area. And the irritated feeling has been going on for 6 weeks already. I was already also treated for UTI. I’m at a loss :(
