new to this 🫶🏻
My partner and I decided last week to really start ttc. I’ve been off of birth control for about six months now and the last weekend we decided that we would really start to try. We had been using the withdrawal method with the understanding that an accident could happen and we would be OK with it. I do not do well on birth control mental health wise. we made the decision on November 18th to begin trying. glow told me my fertile period had actually began on the 16th!! I do not believe this was correct though as I have 35 to 39 day long cycles and after using some other apps in my own calculations, I believe ovulate later. I used a ovulation predictor kit for the first time on 11/22. That was cycle day 19 for me and I got a positive on my first test!! wasn't able to catch my surge as our decision & my fertile period really came at the same time lol. After getting a positive OPK glow updated my fertile period And begin to match to some of the other apps. I'm still having trouble tracking my exact ovulation date as I'm new to this. glow told me that it would've been yesterday the 24th I haven't gotten a clear drop yet on my readings i don't believe. and haven't yet tested today, my cervical mucus still shows me as fertile. I plan to test this opk again this afternoon. I just wanna be sure that I'm approaching this correctly and did everything I could on my part!! do you think I hit my fertile period? did we baby dance enough? I'm super new to this and just learning how to effectively try to conceive any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. I of course hope to not have aunt flo arrive, but if I am approaching this next cycle, what is the best way to do it?
