If you or your kids get really sick, are you still Covid testing?

I never did any Covid testing. Just treated symptoms at home like normal and keep an eye out for any signs of needing medical attention.

Yea why wouldn’t I? I like to know whatever illness I’m battling, be that strep, flu, Covid, etc. There’s really no reason not to test

Sometimes I have to, for work, but generally, no.  When we are visibly ill, we stay home.

Depends on if the doctor is requiring us to test at home before seeing us. But usually if we are sick we just stay home. Which is what we have practiced even before covid

I do Covid testing because for school the only requirement for returning to school is being fever free for 24 hours. Otherwise, they want them in school. The school has made it very clear that keeping them out for sniffles and coughs can make them fall behind. Those symptoms can last quite a while without actually being contagious. So we follow CDC Covid guidelines as far as when to test, when to isolate, etc. If you are vaccinated, you do not need to isolate unless you test positive. So whenever my daughter is home sick, I always Covid test before sending her back to school.

I never did when I wasn’t working, I would just stay home. But now that I’m working (around kids) I will test to make sure I’m following proper rules to keep them safe

One of us will more so we can know if it's covid over the flu or something else but not cause we're scared of it or anything.
