Is cheap toothpaste better?

This is a weird post I know lol. But I have a question. A couple months ago my dentist recommended this more expensive gum restorative toothpaste. I’ve been using it and while I have noticed a difference in my gum health, I have been having an issue where I have tons and tons of plaque build up and basically an unclean feeling in my mouth.

I just got back home from a mini vacation and I just took a travel size tube of cheap normal Crest toothpaste that was like 45 cents. And my mouth feels so much cleaner. I have no plaque. No bad breath. And my teeth even look whiter.

So… any dental hygienists here? But why is this? 😂
