My husband got the news that he tested positive for hsv type one . This is all new to us we have kids together and I’ve never tested positive or idk if I got tested for it when I’ll go to my ob . I have so many questions like, did he just get it ? How did he get it ? Do I have it ? Can our children have it ? How long ago has he had it for ? I did my research and most ppl have it and he will get cold sores on lips . Dr said to him to not kiss no one when it’s active cause it can be transmitted. Idk how to feel about this .we have never gotten no herpe or cold sores on lips . Idk If it can change our relationship I’m just freaking out . Anyone who has tested positive? I haven’t told anyone bc I feel embarrassed this is the first time I’m talking about it and it just feels so real . Dr said for him to go get tested in 6 months or a year to see if it’s the same result . I praying it was a false positive
