Did anyone have covid when you delivered your baby? Did they keep baby away from you? Or was baby able to be around you?

I’m just curious what we’re to happen if you tested positive for covid while having your c section/delivering your baby. I have covid right now and I’m 31 weeks with a scheduled c section at 36 weeks 2 days. I’m just hoping I don’t still test positive by then. I’m just worried about me having to be separated from him when he’s born.

They cannot take your baby away from you for being sick, don't stress.

I had Covid while pregnant and have vaginal births. My ob said, as long you breathing fine and the baby should be fine. The baby still healthy after all.

They'll just put you all in isolation together. You can always call your hospital to confirm.

This girl I know wasn’t able to see her baby for 10 days cuz she was covid positive at birth. This was in Michigan and when covid was more serious though. I don’t know what rules they have now or elsewhere. I would ask your OB.
