I’m feeling a little sad tonight. I broke up with my first love in march and since then I’ve been back in the dating apps. I find it such a cesspool and I haven’t been able to get any dates which has been scaring me about being single forever.

I matched with a a guy last Saturday who I found quite cute. He sent a really nice long message about how he thinks I have an attractive profile and it would be great to get to know me. I responded back but he took two days to reply with the below message.

He is a head chef, but even my response to this message, he hasn’t replied since Tuesday. Shall I unmatch him, I hate waiting for a message. I’m feeling pretty doomed

Why would he send such enthusiastic messages and then not reply in 3 days? Or should I give him time, it’s only early days and chefs are pretty busy? I am the messages in purple and he is grey
