+THC at first 7w OBGYN visit… fearful!
At an OBGYN visit we were reviewing medications and I honestly admitted to sometimes occasionally taking a CBD/THC gummy to help with nausea and sleep. After my urine sample… She shared that as a mandated reporter she has to report a positive urine drug screen to the state and that I can expect a social worker to be in touch. Wth is that!?!? At only 7 weeks this is reported!?!? I’m super nervous now, I have never done hard drugs such as opioids or stimulants …. An occasional CBD/THC gummy yes. She told me not to worry that she just has to report a positive urine test of any drug, and that maryj isn’t as incriminating as other drugs. I worry since I am a health care worker myself (I can’t get my medical maryj card since I hold a license to carry a concealed weapon). What should I expect from the case manager? A call, a home visit? I’m no where near my due date …. I don’t want them ripping my baby from me for a stupid gummy. I’m bummed:( and concerned about my two small children I have in the house as well. I want to avoid any bullshit with CPS… so I’m planning on not taking anymore gummies ever and hoping that when they test the baby at birth everything is negative and nothing is reported to the state. Or am I already screwed bc I admitted at 7weeks I take gummies …. And my pee was dirty and they will already report it to CPS? This sucks so badly bc the gunnies help immensely with my symptoms and mood, works better than my depression medication I take. Feeling as if I’ll never be able to take a gummy again since becoming a mother 😣Seeking someone’s advice who have been in similar shoes. Thanks in advance.
