Necrotising Pancreatitis
Is anyone on here a vet? My vet office is closed and my dog was discharged today after being diagnosed with the above on Friday.
She has been panting a lot and seems uncomfortable which I can understand, she did eat her dinner with no problem (ate about four hours ago) and has been drinking water. I know it can take several weeks for her to get past this. My other dog has Pancreatitis last year and I don't remember him being in so much pain when we got home after being discharged. She has not thrown up and is sleeping stretched out right now.
I have Rimadyl and Petcam at home for my other dogs, is it OK if I give her maybe half a dose of Petcam just to make her a little more comfortable for the night and I can phone the vets in the morning if she's still in pain?
How long do I need to rest the pancreas for in order to help relieve the pain? I normally give her breakfast at 08:00 or 09:00, that would be about 14/ 15 hours between breakfast and dinner. I need to feed her at some stage tomorrow as she is also on Leukran and Prednisone.
Thank you. I am going to phone the vet when they open but yeah, it's late at night here and they're long closed.

I had no intention of giving them together, I just wanted to advise which ones I had on hand. She's on the Leukran and Prednisone as well as she has Lymphoma. Regardless I am taking her back to the vet this morning, won't bother with a phone call. I think she was released too early.
