I look at how much responsible with money he is…not how much of it he has. Are we going to be able to jointly build a future or are we forever going to have separate accounts because I can’t trust him with our money together. 
I would absolutely be concerned if he only had one duck. They are flock animals and should at least be in a pair. Two ducks I would totally be accepting of!
