Something Special😍😍

I asked my "friend" if he was willing to meet my parents in the future and he said he would be willing, but then I finally found the courage to tell my mom about him( and I don't talk to my mom about guys) and asked if she's willing to meet him and she basically shut it down. She said I should focus on school(which is understandable), but then once she found out he was Jamacian, she freaked out on me.(I'm an African) I really don't care where he's from because he's a good man and he makes me happy. She didn't even bother to ask his name, his age(24) or if he has an education(which he does, he graduated college) or whether he has a job(he does a steady one). Why can't she realize that he is obviously special to me that I want him to meet my parents. What do I do? I don't want sneak around.
