Husband’s birthday

Hubby‘s birthday is in a few days and the his favorite restaurant is closed on that day. Was thinking of small celebration with the kids after he gets home from work and later putting something sexy on. But he’s mentioned that he’ll probably stay as much as he can at work, because we need the money and he’d rather not deal with the stress with our kids- twin babies and a toddler. I get it that it’s his day but I also think he’s being incredibly selfish. It actually hurts my feelings that he’d rather stay at work than be with us! I’ve told him it’s upsetting to me that he’s avoiding to spend time with us simply because it’s too “stressful” for him. I just don’t understand it!
