My best friend is normally very complimentary, funny, and friendly in person/texting. However on Facebook she is like a bully randomly towards me. She will never “like” any picture or anything I post… and if I post something like a selfie she will “joke” on it. Like today I posted a selfie at the lake. I was having fun with my family and my husband got a good picture of me with my son. She commented “what’s up with your shoes? 😂” like making fun of them. I was wearing converse because I didn’t want my feet to get muddy. I responded just that and she said “okay, looks weird with your bikini….” Another instance I can think of was I posted a close up selfie because I got my hair done. She commented “glad to see you finally brush your hair lmao”. Like…? I’m so confused by it because she never says these things or behaves this way in person. She’s been my best friend since 10th grade and we are 33 years old now! I’ve asked her passively “why don’t you ever hype my pictures up like I do yours?” and she didn’t really respond, just shrugged. Anyone have any clue why she may be behaving this way? She does GREATLY struggle with her mental health and self esteem. My husband thinks it stems from jealousy.
