Would you tell someone their hair bows are falling apart?
I know the title is weird, I didn’t know how else to word this lol
So I used to work with this girl about 15 years ago. We were kind of close at one point, but that was a long time ago
Anyway, she has a little girl, and she’s a single mom. We’re still friends on social media and she posts about her private life a lot. She got laid off a few months ago, and she’s going thru a hard time.
She opened up an Etsy shop about 2 years ago, and I always ordered her stuff. She makes hair bows that are adorable. She makes cute shirts too. With her losing her job, she’s been pushing her Etsy shop a lot harder than she did before. I have bought a ton of stuff from her, because I really do like the stuff she makes.
Anyway, to get to the point, I bought about 15 bows and headbands recently. They are literally falling apart and I haven’t even given them to my daughter yet (waiting for Christmas). Half of them had the clip fall off as soon as I opened the package, and some of them have gemstones that are falling off.
I don’t care, I fixed it in 3 seconds with my hot glue gun, I don’t want replacements or to make a big deal, but I wonder if I should tell her because people that order from her may not want to anymore if she is unaware. I ordered from her last Christmas, and one time before then and it was excellent quality. I feel like if she knew it was a problem she would correct it, but at the same time, I frequently see her daughter wearing her products so idk how she doesn’t realize 🤷🏻♀️.
Anyway- if you were me, would you give her a heads up? Or would I come across as Kareny and complaining? Like I said I don’t want my money back or replacements I just think she should know to keep her customers
