Painting the nursery

I’m in the second trimester, and I’ve hit that point where I really feel like I need to get everything in order. My husband works long hours, and I’ve not been working during this pregnancy. Is it safe to paint the nursery since I’m the one who has the time available to do it? I was planning on leaving the large window open and wearing a painters mask, but I’m not sure if it’s safe to do it because Google has mixed answers. 😅
