Pain in bottom, haven’t able to go

For the past couple days I haven’t been able to go to the bathroom. I have been taking stool softeners but when I try nothing happens and I’m just in pain. It’s like a sharp pain. I’m only 1 1/2 weeks postpartum and had a 2nd degree tear so I’m still scared to strain.

What could be causing the sharp pain? Is it hemorrhoids maybe? I’ve heard you can get them from birth but I’ve never had them so I wouldn’t know what to expect
