Periods after a Miscarriage

Hey ladies sorry if its a silly question but want to know does period bleeding start straight after a miscarriage (no gap so it would be confusing to tell if its a period or still a miscarriage) OR will there still be a week or two gap (no bleeding) so body can ovulate after a miscarriage before period bleeding starts?

Asking because my miscarriage bleeding decreased (mucus red discharge but no clots) thinking it would end in another week max and then suddenly have a few more clots and bleed with period like cramps so confused if its the miscarriage still. (First blood of miscarriage noticed on the 1st of December/2nd) today is 28th december so been about 4 weeks?
