Menopause/ pregnant ?

I’m at this weird place right now. My period is 12 days late. It has never been more than 9 days twice in my whole menstrual journey. I was 11 when I started. My cycle is usually every 28 days pretty consistently. I am About to be 48 in march mother of three already. Took 3 tests, all negative.
Could I still be pregnant or starting to go through menopause? I’m Having some symptoms of either pms or pregnancy.  Calling Obgyn of course. Just wondering if anyone has been through this.

You're not in menopause until you've not had a cycle for a year. Average age of menopause is 51 and perimenopause can last up to 10 years. 
If your tests are negative then you're not pregnant and should probably expect some weird cycles at this point. I'm only 42 and already experiencing a lot of perimenopausal symptoms.

Going to doctors. Symptoms are getting worse or more consistent. Need to get a final verdict.

I would think if your tests are negative and period is 12 days late, that you’re just entering perimenopause and it can be common during that time for your cycles to get longer and be more unpredictable, or so I’ve read. You can always check with your doctor!
