Possible miscarriage

Wasn’t supposed to start my period until the 3rd but woke up this morning to very painful cramps and heavy period. Usually my cramps aren’t this painful and I never usually get cramps in my lower back but this time they are so unbearable and very strong in my lower back. Bleeding is a bright pink/red color and there is some clotting. I’m concerned it could be a possible miscarriage as me and my partner have been trying. Please let me know your opinions.
