4 months breastfeeding

Mayra

Hi,

Recently, I noticed my baby was getting frustrated when I was feeding him on my left boob. I couldn’t figure out why he was fussy because he kept showing signs he was still hungry after 3 mins but would keep getting off and on my left boob so I tried to feed him on my right boob and sure enough he was gulping down milk and passed out. This happened maybe yesterday but for sure all day today on New Year’s Day. I am an over-supplier and have a fast let down. I am only exclusively breastfeeding and have not pumped for the first 5 days he was born. I have pumped a couple time after that for when I left my baby with family. So on my third month I started to regulate but I needed to start pumping again at work because I started back working on the 20th and didn’t want my supply to go down. Anyways my left boob was the boob that had the most milk and fastest let down to the point where it would drown him. So I kept doing the switch off method to make sure they would balance and regulate both boobs but now this boobs is not making enough to satisfy him like it did before. I had to finish his feed on my right boob because he was still hungry. I thought maybe it was a one time thing but nope it’s not it’s still not fully feeding him so I have to keep switching to my other boob to finish his feed and he feeds on there for 3 to 5 mins which means he’s definitely sucking me dry. Also to be sure it was just my left boob I tried to only feed him on my right and that boob fully satisfy him. He feed for about 5 to 7 mins on that one. So I wonder what’s going on? Can anyone help me I don’t want to dry up.
