White Coat Hypertension?

Hi ladies!
Anyone experiencing sky high blood pressures at the their appointments but normal at home?
I had preeclampsia in my first pregnancy and that sparked a fear of getting my blood pressure taken. Now I’m pregnant again and my BP has been high at every single appointment so far; I’m so worried about getting it again that I make it high. I’ve tried it all to relax ahead of time! My doctor accepts my low readings that I record at home as she struggles with blood pressure too. But I feel so embarrassed when I go to the doctor like they think I’m crazy because a little test freaks me out! It also doesn’t help that the nurse is so rude and judgmental.

I have the same problem , but only at first appointments for some reason. The first time I come in for something, I’m always anxious and it gives me high BP. They take mine at the end of the appt too just to make sure it’s gone down. But if I keep going in for appts it doesn’t seem to be a problem. I’m not sure why. Maybe meeting new drs and such. My BP does get high at the end tho, I’ve had to be induced twice because of it.

Same thing was happening to me. Except at my last two appointments it’s been good because I expressed my anxiety and fear. The doc then took my BP at the end of the appointment and it was normal. You should probably express your fears to them and maybe that’ll help ease your anxiety and help you feel more in control. ❤️ I developed postpartum preeclampsia with my last pregnancy and it sparked fear and anxiety in me like I’ve never known existed! 😫
