My cousin has a 10 year old son who is autistic but has a fascination with poop. He will dig it out of his rectum and smear it on everything. If he poops in the toilet, he smears it all over the toilet seat and bathroom. He smells like poop, and their house and my cousin also have a faint poop odour now too. It's awful. He always seems to have poop on his shirt and under his fingernails. This started about two years ago and has gotten worse and worse.

I've tried to be compassionate and kind about things, but I truly detest being around her son because of the poop issue. Does anyone have any advice for me on how to cope with it personally? I have a hard time being around her because of the odour and because all I can think about is her son and his poopy hands touching everything.

Also, any advice to stop a child from playing with their poop?
