Positive test and scan but not positive symptoms and Hcg levels… looking for hope

I joined this community 2 1/2 years ago when we started trying for number four. We went to fertility clinics, did all the tests, learned that I am perfectly healthy and able to carry but my husband was not any longer, which apparently is weird.

After 2 1/2 years of trying, we allowed that ship to sail and moved on. I deleted the app, and we stopped taking precautions. Then I’m December I felt with every fiber I was pregnant - despite not really being in the mindset to be so.

Then I got what I though was my period… but way way worse. My blood for 11 straight days like I was hemorrhaging, and so I assumed I had a miscarriage. But when the bleeding kept getting worse, I went to a doctor, and I was technically still scanning and testing as pregnant - not much… not far along… and they told me the bleeding was a not great sign.

I was sent for Hcg and given miscarriage paperwork and they told me congratulations and good luck.

Well, I got my hCG test results back but I don’t see the doctor for several more days. I think the blood levels are not great. I was showing 6000 on Thursday evening, and almost 7300 on Saturday early morning. I know that’s not a good spread from what I read online. That said my bleeding stopped two days ago and now I don’t know what to think. They told me if my levels were trending down, it was a miscarriage, and if they were trending up, there was still a chance, but everything I read online today, says that this trend is not a good sign.

Also - I’m 41. So there’s that.
