Baby #2…

Just looking for some advice & guidance because I’m feeling pretty down about this .. my husband and I have been trying for baby #2, I have very irregular periods, have always had it & when we got pregnant with my son the first time we didn’t even know and my due date was pretty off because of not knowing when I ovulated. Now this time we’re actually trying and I keep getting negative test. I had my period Dec 8th-14th so if I was pregnant it would be positive by now right? I’ve had lots of cramping & back pain, tender boobs as well but still getting negative pregnancy test. I know it may sound dumb but we’ve been trying for 6+ months now and during the time I’ve only had 2 periods (very irregular) and if I ovulate I don’t know. Where do I go from here, im feeling pretty defeated
