7w2d miscarriage question (TMI)

For those who have gone through a miscarriage, how long after you started spotting did the bleeding pick up? At 5:45pm I started bleeding, it wasn’t a lot but I did pass a clot the size of a nickel or quarter then the bleeding pretty much stopped and it’s 1:53 am now and I only see light pink blood when I wipe and it’s really mucousy. I’m having super light cramping on and off too. Is this normal? My dr gave me misoprostol just in case it doesn’t pass on it’s own. I would prefer to pass it without the medication but I also don’t want to be waiting days for it to happen. At what point should I take the pills if the bleeding doesn’t pick up on it’s own?
