How long did it take your breasts to dry up?

Switching my baby from breastmilk to formula and the engorgement is killing me

took a few weeks. I pumped just enough to relieve engorgement but I didn’t empty bc if you empty they will keep filling back up. once your body recognizes that you don’t need much milk it will slowly go away.

My child is almost 4, we stopped at a year and a half and I still produce.

try pumping, i wouldn’t have been able to do it cold turkey, just pump when they feel full but don’t totally empty them

Use cold cabbage leaves! Also use cold compress like a super cold washcloth or even frozen They absolutely worked for me and to ease some of the pain pump just a little from each side. My boobs were normal after a week

How old is baby?? Have you seen an IBCLC? Have you tried ways to help with engorgement? 
Best advice I got and I give out is don’t quit on a bad run. Push through and keep going.
