Did baby recently have a fever? Even low grade undetectable. Our son ended up with a rash like this a few times. Husband freaked and took him to the pediatrician. She said it's a viral rash, caused by a fever. Except he hadn't had any fevers we could tell he had. Teething can cause pretty low grade fevers then the viral rash follows. If you're ever concerned about it or want to know what's really causing it, you can see the ped.
